2022 Program
This year's event took place in Omaha, and the cover painting features one of the city's most notable pieces of
architecture: the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge, a 3,000-foot long walkway that stretches across the Missouri River, and connects Omaha, Nebraska
with Council Bluffs, Iowa. I liked the image of the bridge as a metaphor for the work that ServeNebraska does connecting communities throughout
the state through their volunteer work coordination.
The interior features the same blue and gold palette as the Step Forward Awards logo,
and crisp corners on the design elements to match the winter landscape on the cover.

2023 Program
For the 2023 program cover, ServeNebraska requested an image featuring volunteer workers. I based my painting on
outdoor volunteer events that had happened that summer, and included a variety of flowers referenced from photos I had taken earlier in the year
at the Sunken Gardens in downtown Lincoln (the 2023 host city for the event).
I kept the interior layout largely the same as the year
before, but adjusted individual design elements to have smoother corners and a softer color palette, in keeping with the warmer summer tones
of this year's cover.
